WORKING FOR PEACE AND HARMONY

THE DOVE OF PEACE

''To acquire happiness, peace is a necessity.''

PEACE

Peace is the mother of progress.

A nation without wars is a nation that will progress. It may be  the truth that the nations involved in wars did progress during the world wars.Leaders like Hitler , did kill a million, of people, but in the end he was left with nothing but fear.He was so afraid that at last he committed suicide.Whereas leaders like Mahatma Gandhi ,who worked for peace, got Independence for our country. This clearly shows that PEACE IS GREATER THAN POWER.People like Nelson Mandela followed the principles of Gandhi ji to attain freedom for aparthies in South Africa

  • OUR GOAL MUST NOT BE PEACE IN OUR TIME BUT PEACE IN ALL TIMES.

  •  HARMONY

Harmony is a Latin word which means ''unity''

Working with unity means working with peace. Peace and harmony are interlinked terms. Living in harmony is desired by every person and every nation.

WORLD ORGANIZATIONS  FOR PEACE AND HARMONY

Peace and harmony is the one and only thing that every nation wants to acquire. A war in the 21st century can lead to death of millions or maybe billions of people as the technology used these days is much more advanced than the one used in the times of the World Wars. Nuclear Bombs can cause mass destructions, which may destroy more than 5 or 6 states of our country.

Thus, there is a major need to stop wars in the 21st century.

After the World War II, many countries of the world combined together to form world-wide organisations for peace. Namely :-

  • The United Nations or the UN

The UN is the largest world-wide organisation for peace. When any country tries to attack or plan to attack another country ,it has power to rise an international military, when in need and to charge against the wrongdoer. More than 150 countries are involved in this organisation. The secretary general is the head of the United Nations.
